Ion selective electrodes own unique advantages such as simpleequipment, convenient operation, low cost, fast analysis, wide linearrange, high sensitivity. They have been widely applied in many fields,including environment monitoring, clinical diagnosis, and manufacturecontrol, and so on. The sensitive membrane is non-doubt the key part ofan ion selective electrode. In this thesis, the ionic liquid, BmimPF6, wasused as the active species to fabricating the ISE for Bmim+andtetraammonium cation detection; a novel ligand, TPAA, was used foran Fe3+selective electrode; and a TPEA self-assemble monolayermodified electrode was studied as a Cu2+selective electrode.The creative works are summarized three aspects as follows:1. Ion selective electrode with BmimPF6as active species, showeda good Nernst response to ion liquid BmimCl, with linear response rangeof1×10-5 mol/L1×10-2 mol/L. Using BmimDS, obtained by anionexchange of BmimCl with SDS, as active species, further reduced thedetection limit of the ion selective electrode. The electrode was used asthe sensing electrode for titration of tetrabutyl ammonium chloride(TBACl) and surface active agent (SDS). The electrode showed a goodstability and reproducibility.2. TPAA is the nitrogen atoms parts ligand according to the naturalSOD activity, coordinate transition metal ions and form superoxidedismutase (SOD) model compound, used to study in superoxidedismutase (SOD) model of the compounds biological function. In thisthesis, TPAA was used as the ion carrier, NPOE as plasticizers to prepareFe3+selective PVC membrane electrode. The results showed that: theelectrode exhibited an excellent near-Nernst response for Fe3+ionranging from in1×10-6 to1×10-2 mol/L, linear slope for0.026V.3. Two Cu2+ion selective modified electrode were prepared by self-assembling TPEA on gold electrode with different bridge molecules,DMSA and MDA. Both electrodes showed good Nernst responses toCu2+concentration. The electrode with MDA showed a lowerdetection limit compared with the electrode with DMSA. The electrodecould also been used as the sensing electrode for S2--Cu2+titration.
