In recent years, with the development of hybrid integration technology, low temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) has become a hotspot. With the promotion of high-performance, high-precision electronic product, researching zero-shrinkage LTCC substrate materials is imperative. Firstly, we will reference the self-constraint zero-shrinkage LTCC substrate materials of Germany Heraeus. We use a "sandwich" structure, the middle layer,which is also the locking layer is glass-ceramic and alumina powder mixture, both sides of which are conventional amorphous glass. We prepared the glass-ceramic and conventional amorphous glass by chemical precipitation method, and then, we prepared the zero shrinkage of LTCC materials after sintering with the screen printing process.This paper will research the LTCC tape casting process. After a series of experiments and analysis, we choose the binary mixed solvent of xylene and n-butanol and binary mixed solvent mass ratio of the80:20mixture, the optimum amount of80%-100%of the powder quality; we choose the polyethylene glycol octyl phenyl ether (X-100) as the dispersant slurry, the best amount is2%of the dosage of powder quality; we choose B-76of PVB series as binder, the optimum amount of pulp quality4.5%-5.5%; we choose the dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and polyethylene glycol (PEG) as plasticizer, DBP as a single plasticizer, and the fluidity has the best plasticizer when the binder mass ratio is0.5,the viscosity with increasing DBP content and lower pure DBP is better plasticizing effect than PEG. By repeated experiments, we get the process parameters are:a milling time is8h, the second milling time is12h, degassing time is30mm.With experiments and theoretical calculation, this paper has determined the thickness of casting tape is controlled by scraper gap, and casting speed has no effect on the thickness of casting tape. Optimized process parameters are as follows:the scraper gap is0.3mm, the cast speed is0.67cm.s-l; the greater of the thickness of the cast slurry spreading, the slower the drying rate; the higher the temperature, the faster the drying rate; and in order to avoid slurry phenomena such as cracking during the drying process, we should control the drying temperature and humidity, reducing the thickness of tape, and reduce the scope of the size distribution of ceramic powders. The tensile strength and elongation is decreased with increasing solvent content and increased with increasing binder content; when R is increased, the tensile strength of tape is increased; DBP and PEG as plasticizer, DBP content of40%-80%of the plasticizer content, the tape has high tensile strength and elongation at break.
