The damage caused by the scaling phenomenon in oilfield has long been known. The scaling caused by incompatible injected and formation waters results in permeability decline, loss of well productivity and seriously affecting the economic benefits of the oilfield. The scaling not only damages the reservoir, it will result in the well bore and ground pipeline resistance to flow, equipment corrosion damage. The main purpose of this study is to predict the barium sulfate scaling trends and its impact on productivity. This paper mainly studies the scaling phenomenon when injected incompatible water in the oil reservoir with bottom water. By studying the domestic and foreign literature, this paper mainly on the oilfield scaling phenomenon has made the following work:(1) This paper researches the mechanism of the oilfield scaling phenomenon, summarizes the scaling prediction technology at demotic and foreign, as well as the anti-scaling and scale removal measures.(2) Researches a new barium sulfate scaling prediction model, the model predicted that the barium sulfate precipitation amount and its impact on productivity. The model based on the plane radial flow, respectively, consider the reaction between the ion convection and diffusion of the substance, and very much in line with the actual movement of formation fluids.(3) Proposed a new model solution methods. By studying the model equation structure, asynchronous iterative method based on orthogonal transformation method gives the solution of the model.(4)By solving the model, gives the yield prediction formula which is influenced by precipitation.(5) Through MATLAB programming, gives the numerical calculation of the model.
