The grinding and classification process is one of the most important part of the mineral processing production. It mainly processing the ore into fine-gained level particles, which meet the technical requirements by the ball mill and the particles is provided to the sorting for the assignment. It is the middle process of the Mineral Processing Technology, which plays a connecting role.The effect of the grinding and classification directly restricts the dressing products quality as well as metal recovery, which determines the technology indicators of the whole concentrator whether meet the requirements or not, and is related to the economic benefit of the concentrator.This paper studies and designs the three main processes of the production process of the concentrator grinding and classification. There are ball mill to ore link、ball mill grinding link and separator separation link. Aiming at the actual situation of the concentrator, we need to improve the process of the grinding and classification with the production efficiency.Firstly, through the research of the ball mill load, the current of ball mill has great influence on the load of ball mill It can find out the best ball mill working area by the current detection. Through changing the size of the inverter frequency, we can control disk feeder to maintain a relatively constant amount of ore. Adopting the fuzzy algorithm, to achieve controlling the disk feeder by the fuzzy controller output control to the inverter, the purpose is to provide the constant amount of ore for ball mill.Secondly, according to the relationship between the effect of ball milling and concentration of the ball mill, we can control the relative constant concentration of the ball mill by controlling the adding feed water flow into the ball mill, with considering these factors of a ball mill amount of ore, cyclone recurrent sand amount and recurrent water amount, in order to ensure the ball mill in the best working condition.Thirdly, the mainly element include the density and flow of inflow and the liquid level of the sand pump pool, will influence the hydro-cyclone’s work. In this paper, we use DMC algorithm and PID algorithm coordinate the three, making the cyclone work in the best classification status.With the core of Siemens S7-300PLC, the system designs firstly the hardware and uses the Step7software to design the control program in order to meet the requirements of control. Meanwhile, to achieve the remote monitoring, using the monitoring configuration software MCGS, the system designs the PC monitoring program including monitoring interface, database, equipment connect and user administration to achieve the monitoring of the whole grinding and classification production.
