3,5-dimethylphenol is an important organic chemical intermediates. In this paper, the isophorone homogeneous catalytic aromatization method production3,5-dimethyl phenol process was studied.First of all, this isophorone homogeneous catalysis are discussed in this paper. Toomogeneous catalyst selection was conducted, choose composite catalyst nitrobenzene (75%)+iodide (25%), so can reduce the halogen elements on the influence of the follow-up process and reduce the investment cost of the catalyst. And the homogeneous aromatization reaction of optimized process conditions, the effects of the reaction temperature, liquid hourly space velocity (LHSV) and catalyst content on homogeneous aromatization reaction influence. Through the experiment to get the optimal process conditions for:reaction temperature is520℃, liquid hourly space velocity0.15hr"’, the catalyst content is2%(for isophorone quality2%).Secondly, to isophorone homogeneous catalytic aromatization production3,5-dimethyl phenol, and at the same time cogeneration2,3,5-trimethyl phenol process was studied. Mainly from two aspects were discussed. In a homogeneous alkylation process, to the homogeneous alkylation catalyst for screening, the experimental results show that the homogeneous alkylating catalyst, and cogeneration2,3,5-trimethyl phenol, the effect is not ideal, so to solid alkylation process are discussed. In the solid alkylation process, raw material isophorone, methanol and homogeneous aromatization catalyst together into the reactor, solid alkylation catalyst into reactor bottom, to achieve the effect of cogeneration. In the reaction process condition was investigated, through the experiment to get the optimal process conditions for:reaction temperature is360℃, liquid hourly space velocity0.18hr-1, raw material ratio for n (isophorone:methanol)=1:1.Moreover, will isophorone homogeneous catalytic aromatization production3,5dimethyl phenol, and at the same time cogeneration2,3,5-trimethyl phenol, using solid alkylation process is analyzed and the design of industrialization. In the preparation of3,5-dimethyl phenol device, add the cyclone dust extractor, filter and adiabatic fixed bed reactor, and to add equipment of a simple calculation.Finally, regarding3,5-dimethyl phenol derivatives,4-amino-3,5-dimethyl phenol synthesis method was studied, and the reaction product to make the analysis and detection.
