Steam turbine is the rotating prime mover which converts the thermal energy of steam into mechanical energy.Compared with other types of prime mover; it has a number of advantages, such as having a big single-machine capacity, high thermal economy, safe and reliable operation, low manufacturing cost per unit power, etc. Turbine blade is one of the key components of steam turbine.Capability and efficiency of Steam turbine depends on design and machining of blade surface.Generally, the material of steam turbine blade is stainless steel, and its surface is complex free surface. At the present time in china, the final process of machining the surface is to burnish and polish by manpower which is original, inefficient, and the precision can not be assured. Blade grinding using the CNC Steam Turbine blade Belt Grinding Machine is urgently demanded in the steam turbine manufacturing.CNC auto-programming system is an important part of the CAD/CAM technology, and is a core technology in the CNC machining equipments, which influence the exertion of the CNC machining equipments’function and its efficiency. The blade belt CNC Grinding auto-programming system in this thesis is an important part of the research and development of six axes linkage CNC Steam Turbine blade Belt Grinding Machine for electromechanical research institution of Yang Zhou University.In this thesis, in terms of this Machine’s characteristics, mainly work on the research of establishing blade belt grinding cutter’s track under UG environment and post-processing of the six axis, fulfill a Steam Turbine blade CNC belt grinding machine auto-programming original system, verifies the motion of the CNC belt grinding machine using the NC to check the rightness of the auto-programming original system. This paper mainly studies the content as follows:First of all, it builds the system development framework by using VC++as the programming language, UG/OPEN API as the second development tools and analyzing the kinematics characteristics of the blade belt grinding movement, based on UG/CAM multi-axis contour milling surface operations, using barrel cutter replacing the real tool that is grouped by the belt and contact wheel. According to the method of UG interactive machining path generation, develops the path generation prototype system for blade grinding numerical control machine.Second, define the tasks of post-processing, according to the movement characteristics of CNC abrasive belt grinding machine, numerical control system and blade belt grinding process requirements, develop the special six-axis post-processing to generate numerical code for CNC abrasive belt grinding machine. IVFinally, using the third-party simulation software VERICUT establishes a machine simulation environment in order to check the correctness of NC program generated by the automatic programming prototype system, which brings an effective feedback to the programming system and provide a basis for optimization of machining parameters.
