With the continuous development of economical and technological progress,lifting appliances are widely used in all walks of life. We are in many workshopand factories can see the crane, which is widely used to support operations andproduction. In the process of the crare’s design.it is important to choose themotor in the driving system.the result effects the crane’s working performance.Choosing the motor needs to consider many factors, including power, kinds,rated voltage, rated speed, structure and installation type, cooling method,protection forms,and so on.it is the key part to choose the motor ratedpower,which is neglected and occurs the question. Because designers lacks ofrelevant theoretical knowledge and mentality of contempt which can lead to lackof profound understanding of its importance and complexity, it causes to chooseincorrect power.The article researchs the relationship of the motor temperature rise andloss,according to heating and cooling principle, get to how confirm the motorrated power, ensure the motor’s highest tempreture do not exceed the motorinsulation material’s highest allowed temperature,let the designers clearlyunderstand what is the rated power; This paper introduces some common feverinspection method: average loss method and its equivalent methods、equivalentloss method and the application conditions of every kind of the heatingcalculation method,to determine the fever calculation method of the subject:equivalent loss method;through the VB program of the interface design andMatlab numerical solution method,obtain the rated output power of new seriesmotor YZR3in standard electrical last rate and different CZ by VB and Matlabsoftware tools.This topic is based on research on the rated power of YZR3new serieslifting metallurgy motor, innovative methods, topics close to reality, lay a goodfoundation for the designer of crane whom choose motor,with high relevanceand practical value.
