| Efficient, quick traffic system has become a guarantee of socio-economic development, and traffic running status evaluation has become a focus of research in the field of transportation. Traffic simulation provides a powerful tool for traffic conditions analysis; network reliability evaluation provides a new method and solution for analyzing the operating status of road network. And the travel time reliability is what road network reliability research is paid primary attention to and the one of most maturely studied assessment indexes.At present, however, the travel time network reliability research is mainly limited to theories, with that almost no model can comprehensively considerate the various factors of the travel time reliability, or can only be applied in small network, or to special traffic activities. Therefore, the combination of network reliability evaluation and traffic simulation is to develop the scientific and effective network reliability dynamic simulation and evaluation system, which can evaluate the travel time reliability of traffic operation states in different periods and under the traffic control schemes, provides decision-making basis for traffic managers, and lays a foundation for providing travelers with traffic guidance. The main contents as follows:Firstly, the traffic simulation output characteristics and the computer program space and time efficiency characteristics are considered, to analyze the index characteristics and practical value of travel time, choose90%of the travel time and travel time variability to comprehensively evaluate the road network operation state, with travel time reliability algorithm as the core, and achieve90%of the travel time and travel time variability by establishing the simulation data interface,.Secondly, urban road traffic simulation and microscopic traffic simulation software PATAMICS are elaborated in detail, the all-day dynamic traffic demands is estimated using the continuous simulation method through OD estimation module estimator, to simulate more accurately the all-day dynamic traffic.Thirdly, dynamic traffic simulation and evaluation platform of network reliability are overall planed based on microscopic traffic simulation software PARAMICS, network reliability evaluation module is designed in detail, and at the same time the function and effect of the other module are illuminated. By using the PARAMICS secondary development function, network reliability evaluation module is successfully implanted into the simulation software, with providing a set of effective simulation and evaluation tool for network reliability.Finally, taking Xuefu Road,121Street and other relative roads consisting of regional road network in Kunming city as an example, the operating state of road sections and the entire road network are comprehensively evaluated among three levels as follows:the time-varying characteristics of travel time reliability throughout the day, the difference of travel time reliability of different dates and the comparison with travel time reliability of the different road sections, through calculating travel time of real samples vehicles selected, the evaluation results are verified correctness and validity. And important guiding significance of the road network reliability evaluation for traffic management and planning is elaborated. |
