| Since the bunker is "funnel flow", coal in the bunker is not the first-in-first-out,which means the speed gradually slowed down from the middle part to the edge, thuscoal will have certain characteristics mixed during the transportation from the coalwarehouse. The design of the numerical simulation program can simulate coalwarehouses of the pulverized coal mixed, analyse coal particles in the force tounderstand better what kind of coal is supplied to the boiler at each time. This targetingof different coal coupled with a suitable air supply, is to improve the efficiency ofcombustion, save energy, and reduce the environmental pollution.Multiphase flow simulation are classified based on the difference of dealing withthe particles as Lagrangian and Eulerian method. The design by Lagrange method andEuler method, set up the soft hard sphere model to write VC++program to simulate.The FLUENT was used to simulate the silo model. Details on the whole process of thenumerical simulation, including the creation of model, mesh generation, solvingalgorithm, were described. Through changing the funnel form (obliquity, the hatchwidth), the interior stress and displacement fields, especially the flow style were studied.It was of great necessity and importance to obtain the distributions of fluid velocity inhopper region when conducting the research of powder flow. Along with directnumerical simulations, physical experiments are also had be done. Numericalsimulation and physical simulation experiments were plotted the time-concentrationcurve, comparing different positions coal exports and export cone angle radius changeand to find out the impact of coal exports to the extent of mixing. It was founded thatthe smaller the opening, the greater the slope angle, the particle more evenly mixed.Simulation results were compared with the experimental data and qualitative identitywas obtained. Through studies of the influence of funnel form on the mixture character,design and operation of the silo can be optimized. So it’s of great significance forengineering. |
