The rapid development of China’s railway construction brings more challenges to the repair of railway and track maintenance. After using the large maintenance machinery equipment for track maintenance and repair, the high efficiency will be given, simultaneously the requirements of precision and fast repair will be meet. As the important unit component of large maintenance machinery equipment-ballast plastic car, currently its research focus on problems of its running system, hydraulic system and other structural, which is need to analyze and improve and on the new function development.According to the requirements of leveling ballast and shaping the slope of roadbed on the new railway lines and the old lines of maintenance in china, based on the original type of SPZ-200ballast plastic machine, we design one type of collecting ballast plastic car which increase the function of averaging ballast to solve situations that ballast cars unevenly unload ballast and stacked with ballast over on sections pillow shoulder.This paper reviews the research and development situation of domestic and abroad on ballast plastic machine, and the works of design and consideration on the electrical system and hydraulic system of ballast plastic machine, and simulation research of hydraulic system. The main content is as follows:(1)Described the design of the ballast plastic car and the various parts and illustrated the operating process of collecting slag supplementing slag、ballasting leveling slag and shaping in detail with the molding equipment.(2)According to the characteristics of SPZ-200electrical system, analyzed and designed the electrical system of ballast plastic machine, and analyzed the electrical operation of subsystem with the electrical principle diagram.(3)According to the "rules" of train traction calculation, the papers has given the traction power calculation of the plastic car in the different working conditions:calculating the traction resistance, and obtaining the maximum resistance in different operating conditions; calculation of adhesion and verification; calculation of traction power and the selection of diesel engine to determine the diesel engine type and the rated power.(4)According to design requirements of the braking system, completed the brake calculation under the three different conditions-hanging state, empty and heavy trucks, and obtained the braking distance under the three conditions, and completed the brake check to draw the conclusion:the brake is not sliding when using the Z-7G air brake to control two brake cylinder, and braking distance is in line with the provisions of "technical regulations".(5)Designed and analyzed the hydraulic system design and subsystem in detail, and calculated the system situations under two working conditions-running in high speed and operating, obtain that the power can meet the design requirements. And discussing the advantages and disadvantages using the single drive ratio between the motor and axle, the paper has described the hydraulic electrical interlock and protection system in detailed.(6)Using AMESim simulation software, the paper has built the simulation model of running driving hydraulic system and operation driving hydraulic system, and analyzes the response of the system in different working conditions. Through the analysis of the simulation results and contrast, it shows that the hydraulic system meets to the requirements of design.
