Based on the comprehensive analysis on pollution at home and abroad of the physical and mechanical properties of laterite, the microstructure characteristics, landslide model test, such as corrosion mechanism on the basis of study, made clear the acid pollution problems in the research of the laterite, and put forward the "acid pollution of laterite macro and micro characteristics and corrosion mechanism research" the subject. For the typical yunnan laterite, choose hydrochloric acid as pollution, laterite for acid pollution in a series of research. The research content mainly includes acid pollution laterite, microstructure characteristic of physics and mechanics characteristic research, landslide model of comparative analysis and acid pollution of laterite, the corrosion mechanism is discussed. The specific gravity, liquid limit and plastic limit, plasticity index of acid pollution laterite decrease with accrescent acid concentration and extended curing time. Acid pollution of laterite maximum dry density decreased, the optimal overall moisture content is reduced, shear strength and shear strength parameters reduced. With the increase of the concentration of the acid and curing the extension of time, the shear strength and compression coefficient is first decreases, and then have rebounded, and then reduce the trend. Combined acid pollution laterite microstructure characteristic, physics and mechanics characteristics and characteristic parameters, through the hydrochloric acid corrosion process of laterite reflect the corrosion stage, salt and dissolve stage stage, from the point of view of the chemical reaction to explain the hydrochloric acid pollution, the corrosion mechanism of laterite.The changes of physical and mechanics characteristics about acid pollution laterite is the combined result of corrosion stage, salt-forming stage and dissolution stage.
