With the rapidly development of electronic and widely application of the FPGA, Digital products become increasingly integration,modularization and the functions becoming more complex. Continous inprovement of the application range of the digital products makes the consumer needs continously upgrade, so that bings unprecedented challenges for the testing of the high-speed digital systems. In order to get the actual stimulus-response to confirm the problems of the digital systems rapidly in the task of testing, we must simulate the actual drive signal of the DUT.As a data generator,pattern generator is an important signal source.Hardware and software engineers need the instruments which can generate digital drive signals to simulate the drive of the DUT.Based on the importance of the pattern generator, combined with the "Data composite analyzer", the paper focus on the generating process of the pattern generator module to take the research, and the task is to produce a pattern generator module with the functions of multipath,high-speed.In this paper,combined with the technical characteristics of the pattern generator,proposed solutions and verified it in the practice.The thesis work include the following four aspects:To sketch the waveform generation process and design ideas of the pattern generator, and complete the overall formulation of pattern generator and data pod;To achieve the pattern generator through the techniques of the PCI BUS and FPGA programming, and complete the design of each functional module in FPGA of pattern generator;To complete the design of circuit of data pod of pattern generator and termination resistor board;To complete the system commissioning and testing of the pattern generator and drive modules. |
