With global warming, the international community generally believes that the destruction of environmental resources and energy use of fossil raw materials has become an important factor constraining the sustainable development, environmental and resource issues facing the current economic and social development of major constraints and challenges. British government in2003proposed the development of low-carbon economy, in recent years, governments have made to reduce carbon emissions, the word "carbon" slogan. Development of "low-carbon city" has as a new concept of urban development for the world agree, the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), The Climate Group (Climate Group) and other international organizations to promote global low-carbon urban construction, to explore low-carbon urban development, is planned to select a number of pilot cities, to give the pilot city projects, technology, capital and other aspects of the tilt and the support, encouragement and protection of low-carbon city development.Residential area as an urban unit body, to create low-carbon city, residential areas should be used as a pioneer demonstration units. Now create a green low carbon quality residential real estate development has become a hot spot, all regions have launched pilot projects, and the current low-carbon green residential area of study has yet to form a system of low-carbon housing technology is not mature, therefore, positive thinking and exploring residential area of low-carbon green planning techniques is important. In this paper, green residential area as a low-carbon development in new urban settlements, philosophy, the concept of green carbon levels in the urban residential areas of practice and exploration, in order to promote low-carbon green residential area planning, and low-carbon technologies for residential use, promotion, and provide experience for the peer reference. This study included a total of six chapters.Chapter1Introduction part of the main residential area of low-carbon green background, purpose and meaning, contents, an overview of research frameworks. Chapter Ⅱ, respectively, from the theoretical study and practical case studies of low-carbon living green at home and abroad reviewed the dynamic development of area planning, to the success of domestic and international case studies and theoretical research can have implications for the study. The third proposes the development of residential areas of low-carbon green positioning, and planning goals, and from green building, green transportation, low-carbon energy use, water recycling systems, energy utilities, energy-efficient living, reduce the heat island effect in seven areas discussed Planning for Innovation.Chapter Ⅳ sets low-carbon green residential area planning and design principles, from site planning, architectural design, transportation planning, use of green building materials, green energy-saving equipment used in five aspects described planning and design methods.Chapter Ⅴ for the empirical research component, with two projects in Changsha green residence green low-carbon planning analysis, project planning objectives, strategies and measures, and to be evaluated.Chapter Ⅵ summary of the conclusions of the research described and research prospects. According to the characteristics of the green low-carbon living area, to facilitate its effective implementation, the corresponding policies and measures.
