Led Front Fog Lamp Design Research

According to Production development process, at first, LED and LED lamp current technology have been studied, and found heat release efficiency, heat shrink volume, weight and cost are key technology, and the most important of all is heat release. Currently, wind cooling heat shrink is the main method used in LED lamp; the heat release efficiency can be increased by increasing heat shrink ribs dimension, changing the material and adding a cooling fan.BM has be analyzed and tested, a target and requirement for new front fog lamp have been made, mainly include component design requirement, water ingress and condensation requirement, photometric requirement, material requirement and light adjustment requirement. Based on above, the design verification tests have been made, to check front fog lamp mechanic performance, electronic performance, photometric performance and sealing performance.Based on front fog lamp design target and requirement, front fog lamp layout, structure, mechanic, material, optic, heat release, electronic and process have been designed, which is a LED module unit. To verify front fog lamp or dynamic bending lamp photometric performance and road light distribution performance, Lucid Shape software has been used to simulate the actual, to prevent photometric test failure.LED colour change light output reduction, LED optical angel, LED heat release and LED assembly process have been studied deeply, and temperature control is the key method for those characters. LED heat release system is the key point for lamp design, so Fluent software has been used to simulate the temperature control, the result is the temperature is lower than70℃, which meets100℃requirement. He process has been checked to prevent process issue causing LED filure.Tests results show that the front fog lamp can meet design target.Compared with BM, heat release performance is similar, but the fog lamp volume and weight are smaller with simpler process and lower cost. The front fog lamp design and research is a foundation for LED low beam design and research, which has very much significance in theory and practice.
