According to the trend of world primary energy consumption, the potential of electric vehicles in the automotive industry is growing. The charging piles for EVs, as one important part of charging infrastructure, is prerequisite to popularizing EVs. Multi-port charging station could offer several outlets at the same time. Using massive accesses simultaneously may have some impact on power system. Based on the Check-New report for the electric car technology in early2011, the multi-port charging centralized energy monitoring system was proved to be necessary.The model analyzes charging mode and charging interface. The whole arithmetic is based on three-phase unbalance power and maximum network flow. The power distribution in parking charging station is solved. A collaborative planning model has been established. Considering domestic and overseas planning algorithm, a new multi-level planning method has been proposed. The PC control system has been also designed. The impact on the network is reduced.There could be come exceptional problems in the electric-car charging process. To improve safety and reliability of charging process, a real-time charging status monitoring system of charging pile is established. The charging process parameters are analyzed. The monitored objects is shown as:instantaneous voltage, instantaneous current, instantaneous active power, power factor and voltage margin. The whole system is divided into several modules. Real-time measurement of electric parameters module, storage and communication module,processor and power supply module is included. The correctness of data is verified by the relevant tests. Some of the non-system error is designed with software correction. The test shows that the monitoring precision is up to the National Digital electricitymeter test level1.Shell structure and zero setup and shutdown module has been designed to reduce electromagnetic interference. The multi-port charging pile of centralized power planning model and monitoring module has been proved to be functional and strong scalability. It has broad application prospects in the construction of the charging system.
