Crane is one of the special equipment which the country emphasis on the supervision on it. The growth of industrial scale makes crane application more widely, but lacking of basic online inspection leads to serious illegal opeRadion and frequent accidents. Therefore, ensuring the safety of crane opeRadion becomes an urgent problem.Taking bridge crane as supervision object, the crane online vehicle positioning, electronic supervision and early security warning mechanism are researched based on the Internet of Things (IOT). First of all, according to the system requirements analysis and IOT technical features, a three-layer architecture of crane supervision platform is constructed based on IOT, and an overall system design is carried out.Then, the functions for upper computer are designed in detail, which including personnel supervision, crane monitoring, safety warning, crane positioning, inspection management, illegal statistics and so on. Furthermore, the crane early safety warning mechanism based on IOT is studied. A grey comprehensive prediction model is established through the entropy value allocation and neural network correction by MATLAB. Moreover, using the normalized predicted degradation characteristic values of of crane key position performance, a comprehensive risk evaluation is made.Finally, using SQL SERVER2005and Visual Studio2010software, a prototype of the crane monitoring management and early warning system based on IOT is developed by the application of IOT technology and database technology. It meets the requirements of crane online supervision and early risk warning, and ensures the safety, efficiency and reliability of the crane.This system not only lays a foundation for the future application of on-line remote fault diagnosis, but also provides a strong support to the IOT monitoring management and early warning for other special equipments.
