As a key technology of the new generation Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), Electronic Toll Collection technology has been widely used in today’s world. In domestic, Toll stations mainly use the first generation of ETC system, which is designed with analog technology. Compared to popular digital systems, there are some shortcomings such as instability, difficult to maintain, less function, low successful transaction rate and so on.To solve these problems, the thesis puts forward a new program of the ETC system based on Software Defined Radio (SDR). The new ETC system is designed with digital algorithms. To improve the system performance, some auxiliary functions including vehicle locating, remote update and system monitor are added to the system. Vehicle locating provides vehicle position to improve key successful transaction rate. At the same time, powerful maintenance interface is provided with remote update function to reduce artificial maintenance costs greatly. At last, system monitor, used by the host computer to find the system faults, help fixing the system error timely. |
