The survive of tank in the battlefield is threatened as the development of the anti-armor shaped charge.Improving the protection capability of tank armor without losing the maneuver is an important direction on the research of armor.The rapid development of composite material and the widely application of sandwich structure provide a guarantee for the explorment of the light armor.The anti-jet penetration property of corrugated composite armor filled with rubber was researched based on the theory of shock wave propagate theory in different materials.The LS-DYNA simulation software combined with experiments were used to research the armor characteristics when the angle of corrugated plate is changed.The optimal inclination angle of the corrugated plate and the angle of jet incidence were obtained.Following aspects are included in this paper:1. Shock wave propagation in the armor was divided into four stages,then the strength expression of the shock wave was got.The attenuation reach the maximum when the corrugated plate angle is60°.By equivalent the shock wavefront into a triangular pulse,the deformation formula of the interlayer and the lower plate were deduced,also the jet length interferenced by the armor and the deflection angle were calculated. When the corrugated plate angle increase from30°to60~,the deformation of the interlayer is increased,while the deformation of the lower plate is reduced.Considered the energy absorption of the whole armor,the optimal performance is got when the jet penetrate the armor with60°corrugated plate angle at68°dip angle.2.To ensure the correction of the conclusions in the subsequent simulation,the standard shaped charge with056mm diameter was slected to test the simulation parameters by X ray and static burst experiments.Compared the stretch length of jet at a certain time,the head speed,the tail speed and the DOP at330mm,their deviations are respectively24%(30μs),4.5%(50μs),1.8%(static burst2.5%),5.0%,4.9%.The results show that the simulation jet coincide with the truth.3.Based on the simulation of standard shaped charge, the corrugated sandwich composite armor with the corrugation angle of45°filled with rubber and without rubber,the composite armor with the corrugation angle of30°,45°,60℃illed with rubber and the equivalent homogeneous target of the three composite armors were simulated when the jet penetrated in different dip angles.By analysis the energy and speed loss of the jet,the deformation and energy absorption of the armor,the DOP at330mm and quality protection factor,the conclusions were elicited. The corrugated sandwich composite armor filled with rubber has the best anti-jet penetration property.Same as above, the optimal performance is got when the jet penetrate the armor with60°corrugated plate angle at68°dip angle, the result of theory and the simulation is consistent.The main energy absorption part of the armor is vary.The upper plate is the least,then is the lower plate,the interlayer and the rubber are different as the change of the corrugation angle.(4).The experiment of the armors with30°,45°,60°corrugated plate angle and the equivalent homogeneous armor of the60°corrugated plate angle were carried out.Compared the test DOP with the simulation result, the deviations are2%,8.7%,8.1%,9.7%.The conclusions are believable.
