Child Health Management Technical Specification And Quality Control Study

Objective:To explore the technical standards of child health management,including performance contents,running processes and detailed regulations of practice in health care organizations and to study and design the framework of quality controlling system for child health management in order to make child health management be an operational process,then to preliminary assess the effects of children’s health management to provide references for further work.Methods:Given on the"check-evaluate-guide-intervention"routine and the work of consulting related documents and combining own actual practice,measurement content which included influence factors of child growth and health was picked up and an evaluation system was framed with working out health guidance suggestions for children in different ages.On the other hand,running processes and detailed regulations of practice were also optimized.Each element of the health management quality system was analyzed based on the thought of systematology.Documents and indicators were studied and screened from the whole picture.By being proved through programme and being perfected after revising,the framework of quality indicators system was established.Two years(2001,2011)data of health management from computer information system were selected and analyzed with control study.Results:The technical specifications of child health management centered on the"check-evaluate-guide-intervention"routine was formed.Each part of the process was refined and drawed up in documents.The indicator system of quality controlling for child health management was established,which taked input(guarantee)、practice(process)and result(benefits)as framework,including3first level indicators,18second level indicators and many third level indicators.The study shows that the system management rate of full3years old children in2001was higher than that in2011.The rates were67.4%,89.1%respectively.The average weights and heights were also rising gradually.The incidence rates of rickets,anaemia and malnutrition were significantly reduced(all P<0.05),which were20.5%and8.9%,18.7%and8.1%、9.2%and4.0%respectively.The incidence rates of allergic diseases and obesity were increased(all P<0.05),which were27.6%and33.4%、13.9%and19.1%respectively.There was no significant difference between the two years in the detection of growth retardation and congenital defect(all P>0.05)Conclusions:The"check-evaluate-guide-intervention"technology with the related process is a complete routine for child health management.The content and detailed regulations of practice constitute the technical specifications.The indicator system of quality controlling for child health management established,which taked input(guarantee)、practice(process)and result(benefits)as framework,can provide technical support to improving the quality of child health management and management level.Child health management plays a great role in protecting and promoting child early health and growth and development.While a set of complete technical specifications and a scientific quality controlling system can guarantee the programme run smoothly.Postgraduate student:Yanyan Zhang(Pediatrics)Directed by Prof.Peibin Xu Key words:health management;child;technical specifications;quality control;study...
