Objective To investigate the significance of tumor specific growth factor (TSGF) and cyclooxygenase-2(COX-2) expression in human serum and renal carcinoma tissue, and study the clinical significance and expression leval in the tumor tissue. Methods To choose the50diagnosed patients, and set the benign control group which including20patients. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) is used to examine the TSGF and immunohistochemistry is used to show the expression of COX-2. Statistical analysis is used to compare the expression between renal carcinoma and benign pathological changes. Results It is found by determinating the COX-2with IHC and TSGF with ELISA that significant difference of TSGF and COX-2between malignant and benign pathological changes(P<0.05). TSGF may express more significantly in women than in men (P<0.05), and COX-2may keep positive correlation with renal tumor size (P <0.05)Conclusion This study highlights the reference value of TSGF and COX-2in renal tumor diagnosis and prognosis. TSGF may play the role in screening the female patients. There might be some correlation between COX-2and RCC pathological staging. It may become the biological marker to study the renal cancer differentiation and transfer, simultaneously may be used as the reference for renal cancer staging index.
