Circulational Tumor Marker Protein Promote Colon Cancer Metastasis

Objective:To explore the effection of tumor marker protein to colon cancer cell subpopulationsMethods:Using FACS or MACS we divide colon cancer cells to two subpopulation by tumor marker CEA.Then treating them with tumor marker protein CA 19-9 for 24 H and check the metastasis potential and clon formation ability.And through lung metastasis model in C57/Bl-nu mice we test the effection of CA 19-9 on clon cancer cells in vivo.Result:Traeted with CA 19-9 the metastasis potential of colon cancer cell was improved;however the clon formation ability was inhibited.And lung metastasis increased in mice treated with CA 19-9.Coclusion:Tumor maker protein is not only tumor marker but also play roles in tumor metastasis.
