| This dissertation covers two chapters, The first part introduces the study on chemical constituents from Lagochilus ilicifolius; the second part introduces the study on the secondary metabolites of endophytic fungi named LY013isolated from Camptotheca acuminata.22compounds were isolated from the above mentioned species by varied chromatographic methods, and their structures were established on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analysis (including1D and2D NMR, MS, IR).Lagochilus ilicifolius is one species of the genus Lagochilus B.. We performed phytochemical investigations on. Lagochilus ilicifolius. Totally13compounds (1-13), including7iridoid glucosides,2steroids,2aliphatic alcohols,1diterpene, and1phenylpropanoid were isolated from the ethanolic extract of the aerial parts of L. ilicifolius. We performed GC-MS analysis of the nonpolar constituents of the aerial parts of Lagochilus ilicifolius. Totally52compounds were identified and their corresponding relative contents were evaluated by area normalization method. The content of all identified compounds is92.61%, of them, most are aliphatic acid esters, aliphatic hydrocarbons, monoterpenoids, sesquiterpenoids, steroids, and aromatic compounds.Camptotheca acuminata is one species of the genus Camptotheca D.. It was found that camptothecin and its analogs such as10-hydroxycamptothecin which were isolated from Camptotheca acuminata exhibited anti-cancer activity by blocking the eukaryotic topoisomerse I. Studies have shown that host plants and endophytic fungi usually have the same or similar secondary metabolite biosynthesis pathway. After analysis of the fermentation extract by TLC and HPLC method, we identified that one strain (LY013) could produce camptothecin. Nine compounds (14-22) were isolated from the fermentation broth of LY013, all of them were identified as alkaloid compounds. |
