| Purpose:To explore the influence of the trace element zinc for childrenrecurrent respiratory tract infection.Methods:60children with recurrent respiratory tract infection are randomlydivided into two groups. One group is called the Treatment Group with30children,and the other group is called the Contrast Group with30children.The30children in the Contrast Group are treated with Chinese medicine decoctionfor upper respiratory tract infection.(Professor Song Tieding summed up yearsof practice experience.) One decoction a day. Children under3years old take50~100ml. Children with3~7years old take200ml. Children with7~12yearsold take300ml. The decoction is taken orally both in the morning and in theevening. The30children in the Treatment Group are treated with the same wayas the the Contrast Group. In addition, they take orally zinc selenium tabletsfor supplying trace element zinc. Once2~6tablets, three times a day. Bothgroups continuous oral2weeks. Efficacy criteria: obvious effect: Afterstopping taking medicine, the60children don’t have respiratory tract infectionor only one child has, Symptoms light, every time duration than three days.Effective: Suffering from respiratory tract infection decreases, or not toreduce the time of respiratory tract infection disease become better than theprevious, every time duration than5days. The course of the disease isshorten.Unefficient: Respiratory tract infection frequency and each coursedon’t change comparing with before treatment.Results:1. After treatment, the two groups of children with the disease were significantlyimproved. The total efficiency is96.67%that is better than the Contrast Groupwith80.00%efficiency.2. Trace element zinc for the treatment of recurrent respiratory tract infection has better effect. Conclusion:This study demonstrated that supplementing trace element zinc in adjuvanttreatment of children repeated respiratory tract infection and conventionalChinese traditional medicine are both obvious. However, If based on the routinetreatment, we add trace element zinc to have an adjuvant treatment of childrenrepeated respiratory infection, It will have more remarkable clinical curativeeffect. |
