| [Research Purpose]Breast cancer, as the most common malignancy of women in recent years, seriously harms women’s physical and psychological health. In the earlier stage, We found deficiency of yang and qi is the characteristic of women after breast cancer surgery. In the clinical, my tutor is good at treating breast cancer patients with the traditional Chinese medicine therapy of warming yang and tonifying qi, which brings about a striking effect. Therefore, under the guidance of my tutor, i designed the research in order to observe the effects of warming yang and tonifying qi in treating women after breast cancer surgery.[Research Methods]All case studies involving in the research originate from out-patients after breast cancer surgery in the oncology department of No.2attached hospital of Beijing University. We choose50patients met the inclusion criteria, and treat them with the warming yang and tonifying qi herbal for3months. After the reatment, we compare symptom rate and quantity of life improvement, and changes in BIM, sex hormone levels, glucose and lipid levels. In the end, we also explore the relations of the metabolic syndrome and tumor pathophysiology. Case count imformation on the use of SPSS17.0software.[Results]①Clinical symptom rate:After treatment, the clinical symptom rate was obviously lower than before, from11.64±2.02to5.88±1.84.The remission rate is70%. The following symptoms are significantly relieved:fatigue, chills, shortness of breath, spontaneous sweating, insomnia and vexation.②Karaofsky performance score:After the intervention of TCM herbal, the KPS score was raised from74.60±6.22to84.42±5.50. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).③Sex hormone levels:Comparing their sex hormone levels(E2、FSH、LH、 PGN) before and after treatment, there is no difference (P>0.05).④Blood lipid levels:In the50patients involved in the research, there are38patients with hyperlipidemia. After the intervention of TCM herbal,29patients were improved. The levels of high-density lipoprotein, triglycerides and total cholesterol were lower than before, and low-density lipoprotein were higher than before. And the difference was statistically significant (p<0.05).⑤Blood glucose levels:There are19patients’FPG above normal levels. After the treatment,15patients were improved. The Blood glucose level was redused from7.35±1.66mmol/L to6.21±1.24mmol/L. And the difference was statistically significant (p<0.05).⑥BIM level:There are29patients with overweight and obesity. After the treatment,23patients losed weight. The BIM level was redused from26.43±1.22kg/m2to25.24±1.14kg/m2. AND the difference was statistically significant (p<0.05).⑦Relations of the metabolic syndrome and tumor pathophysiology:The rate of lymphatic metastasis of patients with hyperlipidemia is67.79%, patients with overweight and obesity is86.21%, that are higher than normal plasma lipids and weight patients, which are38.10%and36.37%. AND the differences were statistically significant (p<0.05). The rate of menopause of patients with overweight and obesity is86.21%, which is higher than nomol weight patients(36.37%). And the difference was statistically significant (p<0.05).[Conclusions]①Therapy of warming yang and tonifying qi is effective to patients after breast cancer surgery. The remission rate is70%. The following symptoms are significantly relieved:fatigue, chills, Shortness of Breath, spontaneous sweating, insomnia and vexation.②Therapy of warming yang and tonifying qi can improves K.PS rate of patients after breast cancer surgery.③Therapy of warming yang and tonifying qi has no effect on sex hormone levels. During the period of treatment, patients’sex hormone levels were steady.④Therapy of warming yang and tonifying qi can improves hyperlipidemia, FPG, over weight and obesity.⑤Breast cancer patients with hyperlipidemia,Overweight and obesity have the higher rate of lymphatic metastasis⑥The breast cancer patients with overweight and obesity have higher rate of menopause. |
