Background:Chronic glomerulonephritis (CGN) is a group of diseases, with a variety of causes, diffuse or focal inflammatory changes of bilateral glomerular, and different pathological types.Insidious onset, long duration and slow progress are the clinical features of chronic glomerulonephritis. The basic clinical manifestations of chronic glomerulonephritis are proteinuria, hematuria, hypertension, edema and so on.As disease going on, renal dysfunction, anemia, electrolyte imbalance may occur.Chronic glomerulonephritis is more common in adults and have a higher prevalence. With the progressive development of disease, it often becomes worse and falls into the renal insufficiency, even the stage of renal failure. To delay, prevent and reverse its progress is the focus of research all over the world. In recent years, TCM has been making a lot of progress in the study of this disease. TCM plays an important and positive role on the mitigation and prognosis of chronic glomerulonephritis. The study on TCM syndrome is an important part.ObjectiverThe paper through the study of clinical data and TCM syndromes on chronic glomerulonephritis, explores the correlation between TCM syndromes and the results of commonly used test for the purpose of finding out some other valuable and objective evidence that is different from traditional dialectical methods for clinical diagnosis and treatment of chronic glomerulonephritis. Methods:First,we collect80patients who were diagnosed as chronic glomerulonephritis through an review of clinical researeh and summarize TCM syndromes. Then we analysis statistic applying SPSS17.0and find out whether sex, age, duration and other relevant factors are relative to TCM syndromes, as well as the correlation between the syndromes and the results of commonly used test.Results:(1)In80cases of chronic glomerulonephritis patients,33(accounting for41.25%overal)patients whose course of disease between3months to1year make up the largest share;(2)The first12of the most common symptoms are fatigue, edema, edema of lower extremity, foam in urine, lumbar pain, urinary frequency, nocturia, poor sleep, thirst, yellow urine, abdominal swelling or bloating, facial edema;(3)The survey has a complete report of renal biopsy in19patients with IgA nephropathy the most common, accounting for68.42%,is much higher than other pathological types;(4)The patients in the abnormal group of RBC in urine are seen most in spleen-kidney qi deficiency syndrome. There is significant difference between the normal group and the abnormal group of RBC in urine (P<0.05).(5)The patients with Scr<133umol/L are more common in Water-wet syndrome and Blood stasis syndrome. The patients with Scr186-442umol/L are more common in Dampness-turbidity syndrome. There is significant difference between the normal group and the abnormal group of Scr (P<0.05).(6)The patients in the normal group of Scr are seen most in Blood stasis syndrome, while the patients in the abnormal group of Scr are seen most in Dampness-turbidity syndrome. There is significant difference between the constitution of Scr (P<0.05).(7)The patients in the normal group of HGB are more common in Water-wet syndrome,Damp-heat syndrome and Blood stasis syndrome, while the patients in the abnormal group of HGB are seen most in Dampness-turbidity syndrome. There is significant difference between the normal group and the abnormal group of HGB(P<0.05).(8)The patients in the abnormal group of HCT are seen most in Water-wet syndrome, Blood stasis syndrome and Dampness-turbidity syndrome. There is significant difference between the normal group and the abnormal group of HCT(P<0.05).Conclusions:(1) There is some correlation between spleen-kidney qi deficiency syndrome and abnormal RBC in urine on chronic glomerulonephritis;(2)Dampness-turbidity syndrome is closely related to renal insufficiency, so we can regard significantly increased Scr as evidence of Dampness-turbidity syndrome;(3) The patients in the abnormal group of HGB are more common in Dampness-turbidity syndrome, whether HGB lower than the normal level can be regarded as evidence of Dampness-turbidity syndrome is worthy of further study.
