From the Ming to Qing Dynasties, Chinese feudal economic t has entered a new phase,business size, scope of business activities and business capital accumulation are significantly morethan the previous level of historical development and various merchants nationwide continue torise. This article to merchants for the study of Fuzhou, explore the Fuzhou area of commercialprosperity during the Ming and Qing dynasties, businessman active on the local impact of socialchanges in rural areas.The text is divided into six parts:The first part clarifies the research background, the definition of related concepts, research,research methods and contents.The second part introduces some basic situations of the merchant of Fuzhou, includingbusiness background, scale, business of industry, etc.The third part discusses the merchant of Fuzhou to the rural social life changes influence, mostare mainly embodied in the rural public affair participation, including two aspects one is tostrengthen their own clan force, another aspect is involved in the construction and maintenance oflocal public welfare. And I inquired on the historical status of the Fuzhou merchants in the ruralpublic affairs.The fourth part discusses Fuzhou businessman to rural social economic structure change,expression is in three respects, promoted economic crops commonly grown and hand the rapidindustrial development, while promoting Fuzhou local market towns in the number and size of theoriginal basis have greater development.The fifth part discuss the merchant of Fuzhou rural social life influence, main show is in theideas of mercantilism thoughts is arisen with the consciousness of the stoic, followed by theluxury consumption appear mainly in the food and clothing to live with, funeral feast. Finally onthe aspects of marriage and family influence, the merchant out business led to the family divisionof labor and family economic sources of variation.The conclusion part from the overall summary of Fuzhou merchants to rural social effects aswell as the businessman and social harmony get along to the contemporary social enlightenment.
