This paper gives a brief introduction of A Miscellany of the Western Capital, its literary value, and the practice with the theories of English translation of Chinese classics. English Translation of Chinese Classics is always considered a big challenge for most translators since the process needs lots of extra efforts to do textual and historical research. Besides, there are too many uncertainty about the information contained in the text of Chinese Classics itself, thus different methods of translation should be well blended and combined.
