Finally, the article excavated the book from history, literature and the technical three aspects. The aim is to show the value in history, literature, technical and the important academic status comprehensively.The article altogether is divided into three parts. Firstly, the author of Xijing Zaji, since there is no decision of its author, this problem is most important in the study of Xijing Zaji. I has analyzed various viewpoints earnestly and refuted their mistake one by one. Then, in absorbs the achievements of Yu Jiaxi and Cheng zhangcan. I proved this problem with strong evidence: Xijing Zaji was edited by Ge Hong in Jin Dynasty and use the name Liu Xin who lives in Han Dynasty.Secondly, the edition of Xijing Zaji. I mainly inspect the catalog of Xijing Zaji and its edition spread. The article compares Kong edition, Si Ku Quan Shu edition and Lu edition in detail, then gets the result that Kong edition in Ming Dynasty should be the best one since it has the lest mistake. Now days, the Xijing Zaji Jiaozhu which is published by ShangHai ancient books Publishing house and lanced by Xiang XinYang and Liu Keren should be the best edition, This article just use this edition to research and quotation.Thirdly, the literature value of Xijing Zaji.
