By summarizing the academic views, compositions and teaching ideas ofProfessor Weijun, a guzheng representative of Shaanxi genre, this paper tries to reflecthis innovative development thinking and foresight of shaanxi guzheng genre and alsothe valuable contribution to guzheng professional discipline construction, teaching studyof Xi’an Conservatory of Music standing in the point of view of the objective facts.Professor Luoyifeng once said:“What Mr. Weijun had thought on the qin zheng is thethought of benvolence and wisdom. Benevolence means justice and wisdom meansacception. All of these reflect the spirit of guzheng.” And Mr. Wei’s many years hardpursuit of guzheng art, like performing and theories researching, reflects this spirit. Mr.Weijun, as one of the successors and practitioners of Shaanxi guzheng genre, has beendedicating30years to his teaching career. What he did has been approved by guzhengfield colleagues and been concerned by music circles colleagues.
