This paper takes Huang Kan's view of orthography as the research object,Based on Huang Kan's classification theory of Chinese characters and the specific classification material of Zi Zheng Chu Bian(????),By investigating the corresponding relations formed by "Zheng"——"Tong","Zheng"——"Tong","Zheng"——"Jie","Zheng"——"e","Zheng"——"Bian","Zheng"——"Hou"and "Zheng"——"BIE".In order to clarify the connotation of Huang Kan's Orthography, and make a fair evaluation of Huang Kan's orthography from the perspective of academic history. In the chapter of academic origin of Huang Kan's Orthography,From the perspective of academic history,we sort out the concept of orthography in the"three books" of Typology in Tang Dynasty, the revised by Xuxuan and Xukai in Song Dynasty, and the ???????)in Qing Dynasty and the Duan Yucai's Shuo Wen Jie Zi Zhu(?????).It is found that the orthography before Huang Kan has three connotations.First, orthography focuses on the standardization of glyph level, and gradually establishes the standard of glyph standardization based on Shuowen. In Duan Yucai's Shuo Wen Jie Zi Zhu(?????),orthography plays the role of its own character. The third is to treat the relationship from the perspective of development. The understanding of the relationship gradually goes from synchronic level to diachronic level. It can be seen that predecessors have made great achievements in the field of orthography. In the chapter of"orthography category of Shuo Wen Jie Zi(????)" in Zi Zheng Chu Bian(????),First of all,we analyze the three classification terms and materials of Tong,Tong and Jie.On the basis of clarifying the connotation of each classification term.It is found that Huang Kan reveals two kinds of relations between Zheng and Tong,in which the Zheng of Shuowen is taken as the standard of shape, while the Zheng of Shuowen(??)is taken as the standard of sound and meaning.Through the relationship of "Zheng"--"Tong"and "Zheng"--"Jie",it is revealed that the common use of Cognate Characters and common use of interchangeable and false characters, and that the correct characters in Shuowen(??)are used to regulate the use of characters. In the chapter of "character category after Zi(????)"in Zi Zheng Chu Bian(????),First of all,we investigate the four classification terms and materials of "e","Bian","Hou" and "Bie",It is found that all the characters in Shuowen(??)focus on the generation of Chinese characters.Among them, although the specific connotations of the three classification terms"e","Bian" and "BIE" are different, they all focus on the generation of Chinese characters, which shows that the standard of Chinese characters is the orthography in Shuowen(??).The term "Hou" is mainly focused on the source of Chinese characters' voice and meaning, and the latter word mainly appears for the function of distinguishing the positive words. From the perspective of multiply, the positive character is the source character and the latter is the multiply character, which shows that the positive character of Shuowen(??)is the voice and meaning standard. Finally, from the perspective of academic history, this paper summarizes and evaluates Huang Kan's concept of orthography.First,Huang Kan summarizes the various classification terms in the dictionary, and establishes a terminology system for the generation and use of Chinese characters.Secondly,on the basis of summarizing the concept of orthography of predecessors,Huang Kan made clear the norms and standards of the generation and use of Chinese characters. Finally,Huang Kan set up a system for the emergence and development of Chinese characters. In a word,Huang Kan's orthography reflects his consciousness of understanding the system and seeking the root. His ultimate goal is to preserve the language and maintain the national caste.Of course,Huang Kan's view of orthography also has some problems, such as the indefinite concept of terms, the inconsistency between theoretical terms and specific classification materials.
