Physical Experience - The Western Post-modern Art Aesthetic Turning

In the west, the body study has a long history and rich theory.The ancientphilosophers and aestheticians all have dissertation on the "body". Especiallyin the postmodern society, the body theory and the body phenomenon has became ahottopic,aboomwaveofbodystudyisraised.Inrecentyears,China’s bodystudyalso has many academic works with great value. In the history of western art, bodyphenomenon and body issue all has very deep origin. Nowadays, body is becomingmoreandmorepopularintheculture,soIthinkresearchingthebodyinartshouldbe a very meaningful thing. My paper is based on the china’s and foreign bodytheory .Through comparing and analyzing the "body" in the western art, this papersuggest a point that“the post-modern art’s aesthetic has been turned”and thendiscusses the turn how and why happened. In the writing process，I use examplemethod and of comparison method mainly. In the paper, I not only comparativeanalysis the body’s features in different times but also in the same period. WhenI write the mainly part＂the post-modern art＇s aesthetic turn＂,I also refer tothe Art phenomenon before the post-modern ,because I want do as well as I can.This paper is divided into fiveparts.The paper in troduction mainly describesthe "body research" at home and abroad in recent years and this paper’s writingpurpose and innovations. In the first chapter, I comb the body view of the westernat first and then analysis the relationship between art and body, point out thebodyview’sinfluencefortheart.Inthesecondchapter,Iputforwardthecenterpoint of the paper by analysis of classical art, modern art and post-modern art form the body. In the third chapter, I write that the aesthetic turn how to happen from three aspects including aesthetic subject, aesthetic style and aesthetic interest at first and then write that why the aesthetic turn happen also from three aspects including philosophy turn, media environment and cultural context. In the fourth chapter, I try to rethink the aesthetic turn in the post-modern art. Because everything has two sides, I write the influence of the aesthetic turn also from two sides.
