Sadhanamala is a compilation of sadhanas which were individually written not later than circa the12th century.The Literature of sadhana included detailed descriptions of image characteristics of Vajrayana gods.So, It is invaluable material in the study of Buddhist iconography. Unfortunately, there is a blank in the research field of Sadhanamala in China. This thesis is initial attempt to fill this blank. Firstly, it investigated the situation of38Sanskrit manuscript of Sadhanamala and its tibetan translations.Then, basing on the careful comparison and analysis of Sanskrit and tibetan translation of Arya-namasamgitisadhana which is the82nd sadhana of Sadhanamala,this thesis discussed the image features of Namasamg(?)ti Manjusri which described in the text.Furthermore,striving to show it systematically,another six forms of Namasamgiti Manjusri also were examined at there.
