The new Aesthetic construction is one of the important subjects of current academicresearch. There are different views about how to construct a new Aesthetics. From theprevious theoretical construction experience, we know that if we want to create a newAesthetic system, we can’t cut off the history and not work behind closed doors. So theAesthetic construction should not only reflect the Nationality, but also the Modernity.Therefore, the new Aesthetic construction should learn from the advanced concepts andmethods to of Western culture. In the academic study of western Aesthetics, Habermas’sSociological and Philosophical theories provide lots of powerful resources for the newAesthetic system. Many academic theories of Habermas, in particular the theory ofcommunicative action, have a huge potential aesthetic value and a strong methodologicalsignificance. Therefore, the excavating and interpreting the potential aesthetic value ofHabermas’ theory of communicative action is a meaningful work. So is the exploration ofthe Aesthetic construction. By studying the Intersubjectivity Theory, Life Word Theory,Speech Communication Theory and Communicative Rationality, this article does a basicexploration from the subject, background, media, and norms of the Aesthetic construction.This paper argues that the meaning of Habermas’s theory of communicative action for theAesthetic construction is that below. The Aesthetic construction is a communicative action.Habermas believes that the communication must break free of the shackles of subjectivityand we should establish an interactive mode with each other in order to reach a consensusas the goal of intersubjectivity. It is an inspiration for us. As the subjects of Aestheticconstruction, we need maintain the intersubjectivity identity like the viewer, the builderand the interlocutor to experience and merge the Sensuous Beauty and Rational Beauty.Habermas also see the living world as an important context of communicative action. Inview of this, the Aesthetic construction, as a communicative action, should be also in thebackground context of the living world. It requires Aesthetic builders proactively involvedto life to get rich and real aesthetic experience and interpreting of the beauty by this wayclose to life. On this basis, Habermas believes that verbal communication is the most directand the most practical and the most effective medium of communication. And the Aestheticconstruction precisely requires a lot of aesthetic dialogue, which requires builders to seeverbal communication as the main medium of aesthetic construction and to establish acorrect concept of verbal communication. For these verbal communications, Habermasbelieves that the various factors and all the links need constrained by the rational norms tobe able to achieve practical results. For the Aesthetic construction, it requires the builders complying with the rational norms of aesthetic interaction in the aesthetic practice in orderto achieve scientific and effective aesthetic dialogue which contribute to the Aestheticconstruction.
