On Habermas' Communication Theory

as the whole show of the second generation of Frankford School, Habermas wrote a lot of books and had many profound viewpoints. He found that there are a lot of crisis in capitalism society, then he wanted to find a way to solve any difficulties from historical materialism. He said that he agree with Marxism, but he also think that any theory include historical materialism only can explain one aspect, while they can do nothing in explaining the whole phenomenon, and he found that there are not human in historical materialism. "The theory of communication" is the beginning of Habermas'reconstruction of historical materialism, language is its agent, the life world is its environment, managing to understand and unanimousness is its purpose. According to "the theory of communication", Habermas began to heal the modern capitalistic society. There are a lot of visional of Eutopia in Habermas'theory of communication, and he aggrandized the effect of the theory of communication, but the theory of communication contains huge theoretic value and profound meaning on building harmonious society.There are four parts in this paper. In the first part, the author analyzed the epoch background of the theory of communication from a lot of issues in the modern capitalistic society, the twist of communication and the dissimilation of human. He also researched the academic background of the theory of communication from the turnaround of language philosophy, the reconstruct historical materialism and the rationality theory of Webber.In the second part, the author expatiated the connotation and hypostasis of the theory of communication and opened out its harmonious connotation, which were based on comparing the action of tool, the action of canonical accommodativeness, the action of theater and the action of communication.In the third part, the author analyzed the life world was corroded by system and the settlement of the life world from comparing the life world and system. Then, the author discussed the meaning of the life world which affected building harmonious society environment.In the fourth part, the author discussed the ligament function the force function of language in communication and society development, which were based on analyzing the medium and the trenchancy tool of communication from language. Then, the author opend out the heuristic meaning of language democracy on harmonious society.
