Folk vocabulary as a carrier contains a wealth of things of folk culture, whichhas great research value. As a note--work in the earliy days of the Qing Dynasty,"YanZai Ge Zhi Xin Lu " holds considerable number of folk vocabularies.According to my statistics, the book has thirty--two volumes, and contains a totalnumber of 1683 entries, includes as many as 1410 entries of folk vocabularies. Itscontents relates to the ancient people’s lives in all ways.There are material folk,spiritual folk, social customs and linguistic folklore.This article is from the perspective of folk linguistics to study the content of thebook"Yan Zai Ge Zhi Xin Lu ", especially makes the analysis to the folk vocabulariesin the book.As the former years of the Qing Dynasty is an important period,"Yan Zai Ge ZhiXin Lu " as a book of the period can show a lot of things about people’s lives , thework also has its own characteristics and has important research values.The Introduction of this paper is to introduce some of the major things of thebook"Yan Zai Ge Zhi Xin Lu ", includes: the historial position of the book, researchsituation , research purposes, research methods, and the study theories of thevocabularies of folk.The body part is divided into five chapters, the first chapter is to introduce theauthor of the book, the writing process of the book , versions, features, values,contents, writing purposes. At the same time, introduce "Yan Zai Ge Zhi Xin Lu "about things which is related to the volume of entries, including the statistical figuresof entries in the book of the volumes, the statistic numbers of folk vocabularies.The second chapter is tracing the folk vocabularies which are related to the book,including the principles of traceability, and the means by which the folk vocabulariesproduced. The principles of traceability include: be realistic and be practical,considerand analyse carefully; copiously quote authoritative works,quote and cite extensivelyby way of corroboration. The means include: come from production and life; comefrom characters’classical alusion; come from folk customs and believes; come fromancient poetry and poetic proses.The third chapter is mainly to classify the folk vocabularies, and the features of these folk vocabularyies are to be analyzed. The classifications include: materialfolkloric words, spiritual folkloric words, social folkloric words, lingual folkloricwords. The features of these folk vocabularyies are regionalism, passing on andinheritation, colloquialstyle, variety.The fourth chapter is to show the heritage and evolution of the folk vocabularies,specifically to make a analysis of these folk vocabularies’development and changesin the history. The evolution meanly means : semantic extention, semanticcondensation, semantic shifts and transferences.The fifth chapter is mainly to make comparisions between "Yan Zai Ge Zhi XinLu " and a few similar works from both horizontal and vertical angles. Horizontalcomparisons is choosing Qing Dynasty GuiFu’s“ZhaPu”, the vertical comparisons ischoosing Tang Dynasty FengYan’s“Feng Shi Wen Jian Lu”.At last, in the conclusion, the gains of the research has been summarised.,that is :through the study of the folk vocabularies in the book, people can acknowledge nearlyall kinds of life aspects of the ancients, and these contents can provide importantreference materials to our decendents.
