This paper researched the lyrics of Xin Qiji, which were written at his first work in the government, from an angle of different periods. Firstly, about his government work career, he was trusted by the emperor and had a very high status, not on the low position which agreed by most people. He lost his job for the first time because his style was different from the other government civil servants, and had something to do with the contradiction between two parties. Secondly, the content of his lyrics was not different with his seniors, but had its characteristics, reflected the feeling of nostalgia and changes of his working mood. Finally, from the angle of Art, his style had matured slowly during this period, and some features of his works appeared which effected his lyrics of latter periods.
