| In line with the State Council’s policy to speed up the construction of Tianjin Binhai New Area, community building is one of the key components. With continuously improved quality of life and increasingly accelerating pace of social life, the community has become an indispensable environment for people to live in, and community building is closely correlated to people’s livelihood. Great importance has been attached to guide system design in the presence of a fast-paced life of today. Innovative and diverse guide designs have been incorporated in many public places like shopping malls and museums. However, concerning community guide system design, few researches have probed into this field, which gives rise to this essay’s full exploration of this theme.To start with, community building and development has been put on the agenda. Through a thorough investigation into the current problems arising from urban communities, this essay is to achieve the aim of developing a set of community guide design systems which could be properly applied to and simultaneously beautify urban community environments, and the most important is to bring about the necessary conveniences the public needs. Based on people-centered principle, and taking humane factors and kinship ties into consideration, we conducted an elaborate research in the forms, hues, materials and uses of guide sign systems; through series of specific cases such as questionnaires, site visits and extracts of relevant literature, evidence collection, ultimately did we formulate such a related project. I have been living in Tianjin Binhai New Area for a long time, and got a general idea about the cultural construction in Tianjin and as a design worker, I have the responsibility and obligation to contribute to the city that has helped me a lot and cultivated me. We hope this design could yield a constructive mode for community construction, in order to solve practical problems and provide theoretical implications. |
