Purposes:Exploring the characteristics of the University Student’s Emotional Management is the starting point of this study, in order to provide empirical evidence for the emotional management of university students and provide a theoretical basis for the emotional and psychological health education of college students.Methods:I have prepared the questionnaire of the emotional management of university students on the basis of the existing literature review, questionnaire survey and interviews, and officially measured a total of642full-time college students in the school in5different universities in Shanxi, Beijing and Shanghai. I have explored the dimension of the questionnaire of the emotional management of university students by factor analysis and discussed the development characteristics of the Students’emotional management ability.Results:â… . Obtained by the project analysis:I have deleted the21items whose critical ratio is not reached the0.05significance level and4items whose discernment index is less than0.2. â… have deleted the57items after the principal factor analysis and4standard screening of project selection. The final is to retain the22entries, five factors, and the cumulative contribution rate is54.533%.â…¡. Reliability index:The Cronbach’s a coefficient of the various factors is between the0.737and0.788, the reliability of the total questionnaire is0.829. The Split-half coefficient of the various factors is between the0.535and0.765, the split-half reliability of the total questionnaire is0.830. This shows that this research questionnaire has a good reliability. Validity index:The correlation coefficient between each dimension is0.411-0.619, the correlation coefficient between each dimension and total scale is0.640-0.795. The results of confirmatory factor analysis:X2df<5, RMSEA<0.08, The value of GFIã€AGFIã€NFIã€CFIã€IFI are more than0.8. This shows that this research questionnaire has a good construct validity. In order to ensure agood content validity, I have checked a lot of literature, open-ended questionnaires, interviews and expert advices.Conclusions:â… . Emotional management consists of five dimensions, that are respectively named: Emotional Awareness Capacity, Emotional Understanding Capacity, Emotional Use Capacity, Emotional Regulation Capacity and Emotional Expression Capacity.â…¡.The<Students’Emotional Management Questionnaire>which is produced by myself has good reliability and validity, and it can be used as a measurement tool.â…¢.The emotional management capacity of China’s college students,the score for each dimension are as follows:Emotional Awareness Capacity>Emotional Understanding Capacity>Emotional Use Capacity>Emotional Expression Capacity>Emotional Regulation Capacity.â…£. Emotional Regulation Capacity of the liberal arts students were significantly lower than the science students; Emotional Awareness Capacity of the liberal arts students were significantly lower than the art students; Emotional Awareness Capacity of the medical students were significantly lower than the art students.V.Emotional Regulation Capacity of the first-year students were significantly higher than the sophomore.â…¥.Student Leaders in emotional management questionnaire, emotional expression ability, emotional understanding ability and emotional applying ability were significantly higher than ordinary students.â…¦.Emotional Expression Capacity of college students of two-parent families were significantly higher than the college students of single-parent families.â…§.Emotional Regulation Capacity of the college students from democratic family were significantly higher than the college students from laissezfaire family. |
