Objects:1.To develop a proper self-forgiveness tendency scale of University Students, and examine its psychometric indicators. 2. To explore the overall level of self-forgiveness tendencies in university students, and learn the self-forgiveness level of gender, grade, specialty, and students on the floor of the difference between child. 3. To Discussion the Relationship of Tendency of self-forgiveness, coping style and subjective well being.Methods: 1. On the basis of reviewing the previous researches about the self-forgiveness tendency, this study used university students for subjects through interviews, open-ended investigation, exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis to develop the self-forgiveness tendency scale. The formal questionnaire was later administered to a group of 585 university students. The reliability was examined by analysing Cronbach's coefficient and split-half coefficient, the validity (including content validity,structure validity and criterion-related validity) was evaluated; 2. The same groups were tested using analysis of variance compared students tend to demographic differences in self-forgiveness; 3. Using correlation and regression analysis to study the tendency of self-forgiveness, coping styles and the relationship between subjective well-being.Results: 1. self-forgiveness tendency scale was composed of 23 items Which in- cluding four dimensions: cognitive self-forgiveness tendencies, emotional tendencies, behavioral tendencies and motivations tendencies; The Questionnaire is of high split- half reliability, internal consistency reliability and fair content validity structure vali- dity and criterion-related validity; 2. Overall, students tend to self-forgiveness in the year, specialty, child, and students on the ground significantly different, but there is no gender difference; By multivariate analysis of variance, It is showed that there are interaction effects between grades and professional. 3.Tendency to self-forgiveness , coping style and subjective well-being were significantly related; Students of differ- ent levels of self-forgiveness tendencies in fantasy and rationlization dimensions were significantly different; There are significant differences between tendency to self-for giveness and negative affect .4. Regression analysis showed that rationalization, fan- tasy, professional, grades and subjective well-being of the self-forgiveness tend to ha- ve a certain predictive power; It is showed that the level of subjective well-being, coping style differences in turn affect a person's level of self- forgiveness.
