Chyngyz Aitmatov was a writer come from the former Soviet Republic ofKyrgyzstan. As an expatriate writer, both of his personal accomplishment and literarystyle have unique charm. This paper in order to give an elementary analysis to his fabletype writing through carding the animal figures of his works.The unique human geography environment of Kirghiz prairie Aitmatov grown upsince childhood and nomadic life experience endowed his works romantic lyric flavor.Russian culture and education he received from childhood together with following lifeexperience in Russia make him inherit the literary traditions of Russian OrthodoxChurch in the same time of master Russian language. The civilizations clash ofKyrgyzstan and Russian made his works had both romantic lyricism and eschatologicalnature, thus come into being unique artistic tension.Aitmatov refined classic literary works, myths and legends of Kirghiz. Comparingwith traditional fable, animal figures of his works removed stage property nature andhad vivid personality characteristics. Animals bore multiple literature function andreflect Aitmatov’s deeply thinking and efforts for curing a series of social problem.
