In Chinese history,Buddhism as a foreign lands religious culture and Taoism as t he Chinese native culture, have gone through dialogue, struggle and fusion.To the sui and tang dynasties,both have became the incomparable character in the Chinese though t culture, politics economic and other fields.At the beginning of the tang dynasty, Bud dhism whose mass base is strong,is the most prosperous,while Taoism forces is weak. But Taoism and LiTang dynasty climbed to the genetic relationship, for what Taoism got extraordinarily favour by the ruler of all LiTang gardeners.From TangGaoZu, the e mperor taizong, tang dynasty exalt way after first Buddha "once a ChaoFeng done for ZhouWuWang wu zetian" Buddha first after the word ", and then to TangZhongZong and TangRuiZong acceptance of the "two teach coexist, is in no particular order," an d then into the reign of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang.When Emperor Xuanzong of Tan g ascended the throne, there were too many Buddhist monks and nuns. Emperor Xuanzong of Tang’s different attitude and policy between Buddha and T aoism on the religious has had a broad and profound influence on the tang dynasty religious, social, economic, and cultural thoughts and other aspects.
