Traditional Chinese ethics bases on every individuals’social position to discuss moral and ethical matter and individuals’ social p o sitio n is the premise of roles.As we all know, ancient Chinese society often is called by a "society of ethical relations". Confucianism argues "five relationships", which mean the relation between "king and minister, father and son, elder brother and younger brother, husband and wife, friend and friend". These ones fundamentally include all re la tio nship s in tra d itio na1so c ie ty.The core of traditional Chinese ethics is Confucianism, but Confucius and Mencius are represents of Classic Confucianism. And then the thesis will be divided five Chapters to unfold researches in some aspect as fellows:Firstly,integrated and inner order as moral premise. Secondly:the specificity ofmoralactand responsibility.Thirdly: the major target of moral subjectivity is ownprefect.The one of Confucius is a core of "benevolence", and the "benevolence" has means of integrated sentimental. So Confucius determines Name which means he determine moral being and responsibility of human on the basementof "society of ethical relations". The "determines Name" means the fact that social position is higher than the moral responsibility of individual Otherwise, the "benevolenc e" is specific, Confucian give different explains to different individuals and situations. It fully expresses the specificity and flexibility of moral rules.The tendency of role ethics of Mencius’"appropriateness and benevolence". Mencius inherits and develops Confucius’idea. He supposes the heart of "benevolence" is not an abstract mind substance but "fourbeginnings" named by Mencius which will express certain cares to others in different situation. The "four beginnings" means a view of the world as integrated and relation. Therefore Me nc ius still agrees with moral subjectivity and impresses inner "appropriatenessand benevolence"。Surely, during moral individual’s living action unfolding, there are some conflicts ofroles. At that time how should we do? The answer of Confucianism is to follow the way of moderation.
