Anhui Guichi Dialect Phonetic Research

In A Study on the Phonetic Characteristics of Anhui Guichi Dialect, we describe the phonology of Guichi dialect.The study is based on the description in total, with related historical documents, using historical linguistics theory to explain Guichi dialect phenomena and also to explore the causes of these phenomenas,such as the abrupt tone, the initials of "zhi xi zi", the nasal rhyme, the literary and colloquial phenomena, by comparing with other dialects near.There are five parts in all. In chapter1, we give an introduction to the situation of Guichi, the general formation of its dialects, the methodology and the source of the material in this paper. In chapter2, we state the development of the initials, and discuss some special phenomena about them. The initials from old "zhi xi zi" and "jian xi zi" are mainly studied, such as the initials "zhi xi zi" which are read as "jing zu zi". In chapter3, we discuss the finals. We also describe the development of the old finals. We mainly study the development of the nasals, try to draw the line of the process and analyze the historical structures. The literary and colloquial of the ancient entering tone is another key point in this chapter. In chapter4, we discuss the tones. We describe the evolution of the tone in Guichi, and mainly discuss the different classifications of the abrupt tone with other dialects. In chapter5, the final chapter, we make a summary of the paper. We also state that the classification of Guichi dialect should be discussed in the future.
