The forms of art language are various. As a language of creation,"repetition" is a breakthrough point of contemporary artistic creation. The influence of "repetition" is enhanced in all kinds of artistic languages, especially in sculpture language.Therefore,"repetition" should not only be defined as a simply mechanical repetition or a kind of replication technique or skill; it includes all the aspects of sculpture language and tradition, and this language has multiple meanings and is always uncertain.This essay studies the essence of repetition language rationally by explicit judgment in a positive way to further excavate the positive side of the repetition language and to discover the inner meaning of this language. Through the study of repetition application in traditional and contemporary era, the essay emphasizes the enlightenment and the power of influence which repetition brings to modern artistic creation.Through the further study and analysis of "repetition", the author hopes to change people’s negative attitude towards it. In modern society, the language of repetition becomes very diversified and realistic; so, more and more artists like to use this language in their creations. Different kinds of repetition language can promote the plurality of artistic development, which may lead to a new meaning of "repetition" and this repetition can be well applied in the creation of sculpture.
