In this way, the author can make a deepunderstanding of the mental status of characters, and thereby, attain the purpose ofunderstanding the connotation of the teleplay. In the end, the author discusses thecharacteristics of conversational implicature through which the Theory ofConversational Implicature can be better understood. The author chooses a lot of classical dialogues between characters from We HaveNowhere to Place Youth and makes a linguistic analysis of the selected corpus throughPresupposition, Cooperative Principle and the Theory of Conversational Implicature.
