Kucha is a big country of ancient Western Regions, is an important hub of the Sino-Indian Buddhist cultural exchanges. The typical construction of the pagoda is a Buddhist, as a carrier of the Buddhist culture, its shape changes with the development of Buddhist culture. To understand the evolution of Buddhism, on pagoda research is particularly important.Apart from the last section consists of four chapters, the first chapter briefly describes the history and culture of the Kucha region and India the pagoda origin of the problem, and the archaeological work of the Kucha region a brief ummary.Chapter Kucha region of open-air pagoda, cave tower and pagoda in the mural image ification of different pyramid is divided into a covered bowl tower and pavilion tower two ategories, and discusses the Chapter III will cover bowl tower of the ucha region and India, Gandhara and Central Plains regions similar pagoda contrast, in rder to explore the pagoda shape such as maternal and dissemination; avilion-style tower of the Kucha region and the Central Plains type pagoda contrast, analysis of the origin of such pavilion tower in the Central Plains and surrounding areas. Chapter IV discussed the two problems:first, through the spread of the tower shape covered bowl, combing Buddhism from India to China of transmission; second, analyze the reasons of the pavilion-style tower in Kucha and Western Regions explore Buddhism in the return of these two issues will eventually be based on the Sino-Indian cultural exchange.
