Konstantin? Paustovsky is a famous Soviet writer in the twentiethcentury. He created a large number of short stories and proses, whichread smoothly and meaningful. What’s more, the language is vivid andconcise. The hazy images and tender sentiments of the works, as well asits sincere praising the motherland, the hometown and the nature makehis works contain a unique poetic atmosphere. This unique poeticatmosphere is called “Poetic Style”. The poetry description of the natureand the poetic shape of characters are the specific performances.The Poetic style cannot be separated from the writer’s own lifeexperience, emotional tendencies or creative view. It is also influencedby Russian literary tradition and the native complex. First of all, thechildhood reading experience, dreamy disposition, poetical feeling ofthe outside world has made him yearning for sweet human nature andideal spiritual home. This ideal and romantic spirit determines hiscreation view full of poetic understanding about the life.Eventually thiscreative view constitutes the tender sentiments and lyric style of hisliterary works. Secondly, the writer observed real-life from the angle ofidealistic, and that constructed the ideal world he created in his books.The character of fairy tale is the kernel of his proses.The idealism of fairytale formed the essencial poetic mood. Thirdly, the poetic style is alsoinfluenced by Russian literary tradition and the local complex. From thewriter’s pursuit of the delicate feelings of the ordinary and simple natureand his praise on the beautiful characters, we can see that he inheritedand developed the traditional Russian literary.Paustovsky’s literary creation keeps a certain balance in the boringSoviet literature dogma in the20th century. Nature and humanity is nolonger the object which is dotted or conquered or transformed, but anindependent theme. Calm and soothing rhythm, cordial and gentle tone, deeply understanding of the nature and life, poetic descriptionand feelings,all of which formed a unique Paustovsky-style. This style alsoaffected many of contemporary and future Russian writers.
