The number of fairy tales in the Collections of Zong Pu is only 24; far less than that of essays or novels in the same collection. But amazingly, each fairy tale written by Zong Pu has its own feature. According to the different styles during the author's different periods of creation, we classify her fairy tales into three groups, namely, poetic fairy tale, story-telling fairy tale, and emotional fairy tale. The poetic fairy tale is defined as the fairy tale concentrating on emotion expression and environment creation, and the plot is comparably weakened. The examples of this class are Village in the Lake, Words by Flowers, Zebrina and Crayon Box, Dew and Rose, and Searching for the Moon. These articles are full of poetic beauty which is generated by poetic words, poetic life described in the text and poetic landscape of human and nature. The second class is the story-telling fairy tale, which follows traditional pattern to tell stories. In this kind of fairy tales, Zong Pu inherits some styles of classical fairy tales, but does not copy everything. In her fairy stories, there are no longer perfect endings. This means that the author does not limit her texts to simple and childish aesthetic experience, instead, she provides her stories with philosophy and thoughts of adults. Also in creating characters, Zong Pu does not satisfy with depicting children's appearance or behavior, but she is interested in their psychological world. In the third group is the emotional fairy tale, which mainly describes the emotion of story teller. This kind of topic is a breakthrough of the aesthetic standard in traditional fairy tales. It contains lots of connotative and vague meanings. Moreover, in these texts the story is also weakened, while the contents are combined with life transects, jointed scenes, and separated details. The reason why Zong Pu is able to give the readers so many different styles of aesthetic experience is because she has a distinctive perspective on fairy tales.
