Recently, the hot topic o f research on local culture has spread tothe Chinese traditional field of the book of songs. In this case, it plays afine role in researching the book of songs, but it is not suitable for it toexplore cultural factor in the national customs of this book, which needsa further discussion and verification. In the study,“WangFeng”(it is thecollections of poems in east-Zhou dynasty) appeared a phenomenontalking about HeLuo culture in details and the Confucian ethic culture.Perhaps this kind of phenomenon provides a new perspective to read“WangFeng”. The big topic about culture confined in the poetry of onlyten poems, however, gives us with vague and general views and alsolets readers feel the lack of objective attitude. Based on this situation,the author does not comment the tendency of cultural craze, butcollects, encodes and analyzes them in terms of some detailed issues,which refer to the origin of WangFeng’s name, the era of creation, thefield of creation, the main ideas of each poem and the time that theWangFeng was selected in the book of songs. On the basis of searchingold classical materials and the results of present researches, it can beconcluded that the origin of its name can be judged in terms of regionand the current situation as well as the era of its creation can bededuced in the period between Zhou dynasty moved to East and theemperor of ZhouLi. As for the field of its creation, they all can bededuced within the emperor of East Zhou Ji except that the poem ofShuLi has a slight dispute. Compared to the different sorts ofexplanations, reasonable explanations would be kept andunreasonable would be listed to provide us with further discussions. Thetime of WangFeng Poems put into the book of songs can be inferredthat it fluctuates between30and40years by600BC, that is, aboutfrom the emperor of Zhou Xing to the emperor of Jian. Specifically, the current study claims that it provide the preface ofMao poem with reasonable status. In the specific application, it ismainly confined some politic information in GuoFeng. In the research ofthe historical facts in the period between east Zhou dynasty and thewestern Zhou dynasty,the present paper argues the Xi Shen view thateast Zhou was moved from “west shen”,thorough the WeiHe valley, toeastern LuoYi instead of Nan Shen view. QianMu advocated,that eastzhou royal room was moved from “south shen”. With regard toWangFeng selected to the early works of the book of songs, it can bereduced it has nearly one hundred years in that no more detailedevidences can be provided. This point needs to be studied further.
