In subject matter, techniques, and other forms of innovation; national art exhibition, research society appears in succession. In the national art exhibition are seeing significant watercolor awards. In the face of this Chinese watercolor painting prosperity in the background, we should still see Chinese watercolor dilemmas. This paper take the emotion as the main line, the combination of Chinese and western philosophy idea different, reviewed Chinese watercolor painting in China history leather along. Especially in the early eighty’s with the ideological emancipation is the Chinese people do accept watercolor, watercolor painting development. At the same time, facing the development of Chinese watercolor painting is not balanced, as main body, lack of emotional, lack of practical experience of life, drawing attention to ignore emotional similar topics, techniques, theory, not enough attention. Relative to other kinds of painting society attention enough, the watercolor painting subject obviously lag behind in the Chinese painting, oil painting and printmaking. This paper puts forward some constructive suggestions:strengthen the painting main body culture, to explore more watercolor art theme, universities watercolor painting developed the successful experience of the area, only the whole society pay attention to it, giving the watercolor painting more emotional concern, believe watercolor rooted in China and in the world of watercolor painting has a space for one person.
